Abstract Art Painting Demo With Oil Paint, Palette Knives & Masking Tape / Expressionism / Work #4

In this video I demonstrate how easy it is to get started using oil paint, by pushing it around to create interesting painterly marks! I show how to make cool, contemporary, Abstract Paintings with the most minimal of means. I paint in layers with the use of Winsor & Newton 'Liquin' medium, this makes the paint more transparent and fluid, so it flows better. With the use of palette knives I try to create almost X-Ray, ‘negative’ like paint marks. Each layer is masked with tape to create random, angular shapes, this influences the paintings balance and final outcome.
