Abstract Painting Demonstration With Oil Paint In The Style Of James Austin Murray And Jason Martin

In this video I explore the painting technique used by two contemporary painters - James Austin Murray and Jason Martin. It's a very simple idea but the end result can be very effective! The technique is a very good starting point for beginners and those starting out, as oil painting can seem quite daunting knowing where to begin. Also, monochromatic work (definition:- containing or using only one colour) is a good place to start as you'll only be using that one single colour. The final works can look quite sophisticated and you can adapt your palette to say suit the interior colour scheme of your home!
