Massage for flexor hallucis longus | Trigger point therapy

Описание к видео Massage for flexor hallucis longus | Trigger point therapy

The flexor hallucis longus can be the culprit in a variety of dysfunctions as it refers into so many places in the leg and foot. You can find it referring into the base of the toe, the Achilles tendon, the medial portion of the ankle, and in the back of the knee.

Its origin is in the lower two-thirds of the posterior fibula and insertion is at the base of the first distal phalanx. The trigger point is just above the trigger point for the soleus in the musculotendinous junction.

Accessing the trigger point can be a bit tricky. You will need to sink down and move through the gastro and the lateral head of the soleus.
