John Lofgren - Shinki Hikaku Horsebutt - Engineer Boots in Dark Brown. Flat Welt/ Wabash/ Japan Made

Описание к видео John Lofgren - Shinki Hikaku Horsebutt - Engineer Boots in Dark Brown. Flat Welt/ Wabash/ Japan Made

These are the flat welt, Good Year Welted version in horsebutt horsehide from the Japanese Tannery Shinki.. These Lofgrens are made in the same factory that produces the Zerrow engineer boots as well.. I bought these in stock, new, from a vendor called, Brooklyn Clothing, located in Canada.
These are a standard 11 inch boot height.. The toe may have some structure to it, but is relatively soft.. It is a little more round than pointed..
I'm told this is actually a Derby last, rather than a legitimate boot last for an engineer.. I believes these were $1,350 USD at the time..
This boot has a nice fit, however, it lacks much if any arch support.. Although it does feature a steel shank, don't expect much arch support like you would see featured in a PNW boot, like something with a 55/5050/4811/11067/1977/690/5332 last.. or to a lesser extent, the HNW or MP lasts..
