Makes 8 pita breads
I just came back from holidays and I saw that my inbox was filled with requests to make Pita Bread! Of course, I couldn’t say no. I even had a letter from a teacher asking me for this recipe to show it in her classroom because they are doing “Ancient history” and she wanted to show something “hands on”!
I am going to show you the recipe which is not hard to make, it’s just pita bread.
You can eat pita with anything you like. Of course with Gyros to make a wrap-Souvlaki.
Or you can dip it in Taramosalata, Tzatziki or Hummus.
So let me show you how to make this beautiful, easy bread!
Suitable for Vegans and fasting.

INGREDIENTS:
4 cups / 500-520 gr/ 1lb2oz-1lb2.7oz Bread Flour (hard)
Extra: About 0.4 cup/ 50 gr / 1.75 oz Bread Flour for rolling the dough
About 300 ml / 1.2 cups Water, lukewarm
1 tsp. / 4 gr / 0.14 oz crystal Sugar (normal Sugar)
1.5 tsp / 9 gr / 0.32 oz Salt
25 gr/ 1 oz Fresh Yeast (or 8 gr/ 0.28 oz/1 tbsp. Dry Yeast)
A bit Olive Oil
