The 239th video of my train spotting adventures.
-----
A day after the Millbrook video, this trip takes us down one stop along from Millbrook to Redbridge railway station. A small, 2-platform DfT Category F2 "Small unstaffed" train station, it was first built back in 1847 by the Southampton and Dorchester Railway. It eventually became a junction in 1865 when the Sprat and Winkle (Andover to Redbridge) railway was completed. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Redbridge station was a key location in the movement of gunpowder manufactured in the New Forest.
