Der Geher in Hamburg: Rothenburgsort

I am Der Geher and visit Rothenburgsort again. This time it goes off at the Entenwerder Fährhaus and through the park Entenwerder. Rothenburgsort was largely destroyed in the Allied bombing raids of 1943. On the 60th anniversary of this destruction, a memorial by Volker Lang was erected here. After the war, plans were made to develop the area into an inland waterway port and an industrial area In 1950, the ban on building was already lifted, but it was not until the plans were abandoned in 1955 that the district grew faster.
