1992: Atlanta Falcons vs Washington Redskins Remastered NFL Highlights

The Redskins shook off a disheartening opening-night road loss and sprung back to life in their home opener, defeating the visiting Atlanta Falcons on this sun-drenched afternoon at RFK.

Washington dominated the first half with ball-control offense, but the Falcons kept the game close with a pair of stunning big-play touchdowns. Special teams fireworks on both sides made for an especially memorable second quarter, including the one and only Redskin highlight for Desmond Howard (the Marissa Tomei of Super Bowl MVP awardees - yeah, we said it).

The second half was a different story. Darrell Green suffered a fractured forearm but the Redskins defense bent without breaking, staging two late-game goal line stands to preserve the victory.

It's the '92 Redskins home opener from RFK, called by the honorable Dick Stockton alongside the Human Smugburger (with cheese) Randy Cross.
