NATIVE American Words in SPANISH - Indigenous influence in the current language

Описание к видео NATIVE American Words in SPANISH - Indigenous influence in the current language

Spanish is a descendant of Latin, but it also has a lot of vocabulary from Ancient Greek, Arabic and many indigenous languages of the Americas.
Words like "chocolate" or "tomate" were adopted by the Spaniards, and from Spanish they reach other languages around the world.
Nahuatl and Quechua, languages spoken by the Aztecs and Incas, have made a huge contribution to modern Spanish. Other peoples that contributed vocabulary were the Taínos, Mayas, Mapuches and Guaraní.

In this video we will also see terms from native peoples that do not have a direct translation into Spanish or English like "itollani" "moyoleuhqui", "ya bialash" and "giyalgalu".

We will also talk about the word "apapachar" often considered the most beautiful word in Spanish.

Keep in mind that there is no consensus on the origin of many of these words and there are other theories besides the ones exposed in this video.
