Thames Valley & South Western Main Line (09/09/2020)

We start this trip on the GWML at White Waltham where we see more Class 315 units being towed away for scrap. A brief stop at Wargrave (on the Henley branch) sees a Class 165 Thames Turbo call, eventually this will be replaced by a Class 769 unit. Now we head south and stop at Aldermaston to witness two Class 59 hauled freights pass before heading to Mortimer where we see a Freightliner working, more Thames Turbos (which will also eventually be replaced by the Class 769s) and a light Class 66 heading north.

Next we are on the SWML at Worting Jnc, where we see a pair of Class 455s working E.C.S from Bournemouth Depot to Wimbledon Park before heading to Overton for a Freightliner working to pass.

Our final stops are at Micheldever, Shawford and Eastleigh where there is plenty of freight traffic to observe.
