The best in town: Sri Lankan baker wins Paris's 'best baguette' award • FRANCE 24 English

"I cried" when I heard the news, says Tharshan Selvarajah, winner of the 30th edition of the best baguette in Paris. This baker, whose business "Au levain des Pyrénées" is located not far from the Place de la Nation, was chosen by a jury from 175 candidates. The baguette, a symbol of French tradition, was included by the UNESCO in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list in 2022.
