When Japan suffered a catastrophic tsunami in 2011, it created a state of emergency throughout the Pacific Rim and disrupted communications for our deployed warfighters.

Together with U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, The Joint Staff and U.S. Forces Korea, we raced to repair and restore critical communications infrastructure. Within 24 hours, intelligence, logistics and command and control were able to continue without interruption.
