Lyman Lakes via Spider Gap - Washington State

Spider Gap is a mountain pass that connects the Phelps Creek drainage with Lyman Glacier and Lyman Lakes.
This classic Pacific Northwest hiking destination has some of the most scenic areas of the entire Glacier Peak Wilderness.
Spider Glacier spans the gap, so you can expect snow and ice throughout the year as you travers this awe-inspiring route.
When arriving at Lyman Lakes you are greeted with a wide-open expanse reminiscent of the tundra in Alaska. Here the sapphire blue glacial waters converge as they rush downward towards the forest below.
We camped on top of a remote ridge overlooking the lakes. A perfect spot to experience the awesome power and beauty of nature in complete solitude.
