West End Eagles ~ Koa's Adventures! Returns To Natal Nest But Is NOT Welcome! Roosts w/ Dad! 6.3.24

Описание к видео West End Eagles ~ Koa's Adventures! Returns To Natal Nest But Is NOT Welcome! Roosts w/ Dad! 6.3.24

Koa had fledged early in the morning and spent the day exploring the historic nest and the surrounding areas. The cam op followed Koa around and did some great zooming on the fledgling flapping and playing with a stick in its talons!

Towards the end of the day, Koa is determined to return to the nest and makes its way down the rocks! Akecheta had delivered a fish and Koa went after it! There was a kerfuffle over it and then Treasure ended up chasing Koa off the nest. Koa flew off but returned a few minutes later to the basement. Treasure was not about to let Koa back up so Koa flew off again & ended up landing on the night perch where Thunder and Akecheta would roost on. Dad flies in and stays with Koa and they both tuck their heads in for sleep! It was a very exciting day for Koa taking its first flight. Nest dynamics are changing! Thank you for watching!

I recommend watching this video to learn about why the eagles have patagial tags also known as wing bling & the conservation work conducted in saving the bald eagles:
