We recently went viral on tiktok and instagram by cooking pancakes in cream. It caused some controversy and it gained some curiosity as to whether we should have just added the cream to the batter or if it was worth cooking in cream at all. So we tested all your comparisons out so you don’t have to. We even tested if coconut milk would work as a dairy free alternative . #pancakes #fluffypancakes # pancake recipe #pancakescookedincream

Wet
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp vanilla


Dry
1 cup flour
1tbsp baking soda
Pinch of salt

Mix the wet ingredients into the fry until just combined and do not overmix. Let batter sit for 5 min before cooking.

For a 4 ounce scoop, cook the pancakes in about 2-3 tbsp of 36% heavy cream or 33% whippiny cream Start on medium heat and as soon as the cream shows bubbles add the batter, pushing the cream into the batter. Once the cream is mostly evaporated and absorbed into the pancake, turn the heat to low and flip once bubbles form ( should only take about 3-4 minutes) and then cook on the other side for an additional 2 minutes.
