Our Solar System | What is a Day and a Night? | Class 1 to 5 |

Описание к видео Our Solar System | What is a Day and a Night? | Class 1 to 5 |

Do you know why we experience sunrise and sunset?

It is because of the earth’s rotation. The earth rotates from the west to the east. Hence the part facing the sun witnesses day and the remaining part witnesses’ night. That’s the reason you see the sunrise and sunset.

Now, you might think that the Earth is huge, but the Earth is not the biggest planet in the Solar System. The biggest planet in our Solar System is Jupiter. You can fit 1,300 Earths inside a Jupiter. The Sun is even bigger than Jupiter. You could fit 1,000 Jupiter’s into the Sun!

Together all of this is called “The Solar System”. Our Solar System was formed 4.6 billion years ago. It consists of a star called the Sun, nine planets, satellites, numerous comets, asteroids, meteoroids, and the interplanetary medium.
