I Made Albania's Best Vegetarian Dish | Fergese Tirane

Have you heard of Ferges? This cheese and pepper hot pot from Albania is something truly special and incredibly easy to make!

In myu taste from the road series, I am setting out to cook national dishes from every country I have traveled to. This week we head to the Balkan nation of Albania. Albanian food is known for it's influences from different occupations by the Romans, Ottomans and Italians, but with their very own Albanian twists and Mediterranean flair.

Ingredients | Fergese Tirane
2 large tomatoes
1 medium onion
4 red bell peppers
2 cloves of garlic
400g salted ricotta or feta cheese
olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 loaf of fresh country bread
