Описание к видео Tasting Mourvèdre or Monastrell and were you born a supertaster? Wine #27 of 52

Most well known as the "M" in GSM blends or "Rhone blends", the varietal Mourvèdre as its most commonly known, is also known as Monastrell in Spain as well as Mataro in other parts of the world.
Mourvèdre in found all across southern France but Monastrell is even more widely planted in Spain than all other places in the world combined! You can also find it in Australia, the US and South Africa among other countries. Overall, this is actually the 14th most planted grape in the world, but rarely found as a single varietal anywhere other than its home country of Spain, where it is the second most planted red grape behind Tempranillo.
As a blending grape it adds dark fruits and color, but it also adds tannin and alcohol and can make a wine more age-worthy.
