Relax To The A-440 Hz Symphony Orchestra Tuning For 10 Hours.

The orchestra tunes to A-440 for 10 hours before the concert begins. This sound-scape collage is a mixture of the tuning from thirty concert recordings I made over past years.
There is an anticipation before any concert performance or gathering just before it begins. In the symphonic world, that happens when the musicians get on stage and start tuning. What we typically expect to happen next, never arrives, playing with the mind's expectations.
Some listener's may enjoy tuning along with the orchestra for that good old pre-performance feeling of a live performance.

From the recording archive, I located the orchestral tuning from dozens of recordings and put them into a my audio editing software carefully layering the best bits of a steady A-440 droning from the orchestra. This sounded interesting, but not yet thick enough to my ear's liking. I continued to stack layers of the symphony tuning until there was twenty-four. With average 55 performers per performance, that yields 1,300 musicians tuning simultaneously (give or take). Some tune better than others, and I hope channel fans gifted with perfect-pitch are not too annoyed by the sound of instruments approaching tune.

The visual background is a kaleidoscope or visuals from performances and concert hall venues. Seen within the kaleidoscope pieces are various music instruments, players, sheet music, attendees and venues popping in and out. Let me know if you enjoy the visuals.
