Psychological Science and Public Communications: Debates and Next Steps

Psychological scientists often lament that there isn’t greater understanding, appreciation, and application of our science. Yet, there are significant barriers with psychological scientists’ readiness, training, and interest – and the public’s acceptance of our work. Should psychological scientists be actively disseminating their research to the public? If so, what are some ways to do so? What are the challenges and pitfalls they might face? In this highly interactive webinar, our panel of knowledgeable experts will discuss how psychological scientists can communicate their work to a broader audience.
