River Spey with canoe, child and dog

Canoeing: River Spey with my 8 year old daughter Maya, her mum Lina, Katrina Skeath and our collie Billie Bonkers.

It is a delightful river in the NE of Scotland. We took thee and a half days to run this section from Loch Insh to tidal water at Spey Bay. We wild camped throughout. I have guided on the river for many years but this was the first time for Maya.

There can be a lot of tree problems on the first section and it shouldn't be taken lightly.
