Nice unit from the beginning of the CD manufacturing.
Philips CDM-1 was - and still is - a really great magnetic, swing arm mechanism with real glass (rather than plastic) lens from Carl-Zeiss.
Only 14 bit DACs (2), namely Philips TDA-1540, but with oversampling, they delivered 16 bit resolution.
Still going strong. This was a real engineering and product made to last.
