This 500-year-old Gohad fort, built near the Vaishali river in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, is a peerless example of fine architecture. The site of Gohad fort was selected strategically for security reasons. River Vaishali ultimately provides an excellent first line of defense around the fort. There are many beautiful monuments inside Gohad fort. In 2017, UNESCO cited the restoration of Gohad Fort with an honorable mention in the annual Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Preservation.

मध्यप्रदेश के भींड जिले में वैशाली नदी के पास बना लगभग 500 साल पुराना गोहद किला आज भी अपनी पहचान बनाए हुए है। यह किला स्थापत्य कला की एक खास बानगी पेश करता है। इसके निर्माण की जगह खासतौर से सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए चुनी गई थी। इस किले के भीतर कई भव्य इमारतें मौजूद हैं। 2017 में गोहद किले के संरक्षण कार्य को यूनेस्को ने एशिया पेसिफिक हेरिटेज अवार्ड से भी नवाजा था।
