Chanderi Fort is the most renowned monument of historical town Chanderi. Built on a hilltop and spread over an area of approximately five kilometers, this fort is the most famous monument of Chanderi. Many rulers ruled over this fort and one can see its impression in the architecture of this fort. The fort has three gates for entrance. The main gate of the fort is known as the 'Khooni Darwaza'. Several castles were also built inside the fort. The importance of this place can be understood by the fact that the fort has witnessed several attacks and has been rebuilt a number of times. There is also a Jauhar monument outside this fort, which is dedicated to the Rajput queens. The fort offers the best of both worlds and appeals to both history lovers as well as travel enthusiasts.

ऐतिहासिक नगर चंदेरी में स्थित चंदेरी का किला स्थापत्य कला की जिवंत मिसाल है। पहाड़ी की एक चोटी पर बना और लगभग पांच किलोमीटर के क्षेत्र में फैला ये किला चंदेरी का सबसे प्रसिद्ध स्मारक है। इस किले पर कई शासकों ने शासन किया और साथ ही इसका कई बार पुनर्निर्माण भी कराया गया। इस किले की शिल्पकला पर अलग-अलग काल के शासकों की छाप देखने को मिलती है। इस किले के तीन प्रवेश द्वार हैं, जिनका इतिहास अपने में कई घटनाओं को समाए हुए है। किले के मुख्य द्वार 'खूनी दरवाजा' के नाम से जाना जाता है। इस किले के अंदर कई महलों का भी निर्माण कराया गया। अतीत में चंदेरी के महत्व को इससे समझा जा सकता है कि इस किले पर कई बार हमले हुए। वहीं इस किले के बाहर ही एक जौहर स्मारक भी है, जो राजपूत रानियों को समर्पित है।
