In 1904 and young woman banned Ethel Tobin had recently severed ties with her much older husband, Edmund, and fled that life in Eastern Oregon to settle in Portland, where she’d lived previously. Like most, Edmund fought hard to try and get her back, up until the moment that she rejected him one time too many.
