Agattanz - Dance with Keine Kunst

Описание к видео Agattanz - Dance with Keine Kunst

Agattanz is a dance that originates from Hinterthiersee, Austria that usually consists of four couples and features a ländler step. It is one of the oldest Austrian dances, and has therefore been through many different changes throughout its lifetime. It was originally only performed by men and had fewer figures. Now, this dance is typically performed at weddings with the couples featuring the bride and groom, the bride's parents to the left of them, and the groom's parents to the right of them. There is a section in the middle of the dance where the groom breaks away from his bride to dance with his mother and the bride would dance with her father following this section. This dance can feature a non-traditional lift that is done by many groups that we have added to the end of the video for reference. This dance also has a unique starting position where the couples set up like usual, men to the left of their partner, and then the lead man stomps to switch to the woman’s right side. This is a crucial step to do before the music starts to ensure everyone is in the correct position for the figures.

The lead couple/Bride and groom couple for this dance are Edgar and Charlotte (he stomps at the beginning of the dance)
