THESSALONIKI to ATHENS with NEW HIGH-SPEED TRAIN | ETR-470 | GREECE | TrainOSE

Taking the new ETR-470 High-Speed train from Thessaloniki to Athens on Greece's national rail TrainOSE.

Though there was a slight delay, this train is definitely an improvement over the older train. Besides being newer and slightly faster (the infrastructure doesn't support the ETR-470's full speed potential yet) than the older train, it also only makes one stop, in Larisa.

This train is a little more expensive than the standard Greek national rail trains. A ticket between Thessaloniki and Athens on this train is €55 in 2nd class, €65 in first. The regular trains are usually about €12 less.
