6th Diminished In Drop 2 : The Basics - Getting Started With Barry Harris' 6th Diminished System Ep3

In this video, we continue our look at Barry Harris' 6th diminished system of harmonic movement. This is an amazing system that teaches you how to stop playing static chord voicings, and start playing dynamic, 3 dimensional harmonic movements instead. We look at some ways to practice the 6th and diminished 7th chords in "Drop 2" voicings in Barry's scale of chords. These drop 2 voicings are really pretty and open sounding, but a lot of people have trouble seeing them on the piano, so these exercises should help get them under your fingers.
