While heading to check out the super-remote Alvord Desert in southeast Oregon, my tailgate window got stuck down -- again! Thankfully, my friends at the Alvord Hot Springs resort helped me fix it -- and tipped me off to a place to get a fantastic cheeseburger and shake in the nearby outpost of Fields. Who knew there was so much good stuff -- and good people -- in the middle of nowhere? I LOVED IT HERE -- and I will definitely be back!!
