I’ve Got a Feeling I’m Falling
(Waller – Link - Rose)
played by
Ted Wallace & his Campus Boys
Columbia 1833-D
(78 rpm record)

I hadn’t heard anything from this group before this one. It’s an Ed Kirkeby group! Kirkeby kept amazing documentation on the California Ramblers sides, so I’m surprised there are so many not knowns here.

Johnson & Shirley (American Dance Bands on Records and Film 1915 – 1942) provide the following personnel:

Ed Kirkeby (director); Frank Cush, unknown (trumpet); Al Philburn or Carl Loeffer (trombone); Pete Pumiglio (clarinet, alto sax); unknown tenor sax, violin, piano, banjo, brass bass, possibly Ward Lay (string bass); unknown drums, unknown vocal (although they do mention possibly "Eddie Lloyd and his Singing Boys"). Recorded in New York, May 8, 1929.

Maybe someone else can fill in the blanks? Is the main vocal by Scrappy Lambert maybe?
