Video Summary:

00:00 Introduction
The Romeo y Julieta Petit Churchill was reviewed using the Bespoke Unit Cigar Formula, a quantifiable review matrix. Furthermore, the cigars have been stored in a Boveda acrylic humidor with 65% Boveda packs (which is better suited to Cubans) for a period of three weeks to ensure that they were properly acclimated and ready to be evaluated.

00:59 Cigar Overview
The Petit Churchill was released in 2012 and marketed as the "20-minute Churchill" since it was the brand that arguably first produced the brand for the British Prime Minister in 1946. It's currently produced in the H. Upmann factory in Cuba. It is made using the entubado technique and the size is 4 x 50. Although small, it has a decent ring gauge.

02:29 Prelight
While not as hard as the similarly-sized Upmann Magnum 54, it has a firm spring with a straight roll and no soft spots. It has a macor wood colour and reveals pleasant sheens of oils in the light. Meanwhile, its aromas consist of cinnamon, yeasty brioche, and brandy butter. The dry draw offers a good airflow with prelight flavours of dry clay, cardamom and brandy butter.

04:42 Tasting Notes
The first third reveals a gourmand presence combined with botanical notes. It's dominated by charred bay leaf while walnut and turmeric are also distinctive notes. The second third is more savoury with hints of coffee grounds, nutmeg, and rye bread. The final third consists of earth, coffee grounds, and toasted rosemary.

09:45 Burn
Although there were some burning issues all the way through, these were never significant and didn't require touching up. The ash backbone is solid with a consistent draw. The cigar can easily warm up in the final third so be sure to take your time and enjoy it. Although marketed as a "20-minute Churchill", it's best enjoyed in 40 minutes.

10:27 Overall Experience
The cigar features the classic Romeo y Julieta band as well as a second one for the range. It's stylish and regal in appearance. Meanwhile, these tubos are supplied in a 3-cigar cardboard box, which is convenient and stylish. Expect to pay between 12 and 16 US dollars per cigar. These are versatile cigars that can be enjoyed casually, during a quick break, or even formally.

13:15 Pairings
Consider enjoying the cigar as an evening apéritif before dinner or even after a hearty lunch. It would go well with a classic British roast dinner or even with pretzels.

Meanwhile, a Highland Single Malt would be an excellent digestive pairing. You could also go for English-style Jamaican rump such as Appleton Estate 21.
