Buses in Greensborough - Melbourne Transport

Описание к видео Buses in Greensborough - Melbourne Transport

In this video we visit Greensborough, a busy suburb in Melbourne's north east situated along the Hurstbridge railway line. With a population of over 21,000, Greensborough is the administrative centre for both Banyle City Council and the Shire of Nillumbik, while the CBD is home to a number of shops, amenities, and services, including Greensborough Plaza.

Greensborough is a major transit hub for the area, served by 9 different bus routes; the 293, 901 & 902 operated by Kinetic (although at the time of filming these were operated by Transdev), the 385, 514, 517, 518 & 566 operated by Dysons, and the 343 operated by Panorama Coaches. We film buses at two locations in Greensborough; first starting out at the bus stops outside Greensborough station, before moving to the bus stops outside Greensborough Plaza.

We see the usual mix of buses from these operators including Scania K280UB's, Scania K310UB's and Volvo B7RLE's with Volgren 'CR228L' and 'Optimus' bodies, but we do see some of Transdev's Scania L94UB's & Scania K230UB's with Custom Coaches 'CB60 C-Max & CB60 Evo II' bodies, and MAN 16.240's with Designline bodies. We also see some of Dysons' Mercedes Benz O500LE's (Volgren 'CR228L') on school bus services.

For Panorama we see a MAN 19.320 with a Volgren 'Optimus' body, a Mercedes Benz O500LE with a Volgren 'CR228L' body, and a MAN 18.320 with a MCV “Elite C-130” body. MCV bodied buses are relatively uncommon in Australia; with Panorama being the only operator in Victoria to use a small fleet of these buses on route service.
