Morrison Patriot - Complete "How To" restoration

Описание к видео Morrison Patriot - Complete "How To" restoration

This has been a pen project I've been meaning to do for quite some time. When I picked up a second Patriot pen I took it as a sign to finally get to it. Sadly, as you'll see, my repair kit was mis-packed, so I could only get one completed. But, I think for my first Patriot repair, I did very well, and maybe got very lucky. The scary part was getting the original "visual vacuum" tube off in one piece. Once that was done it was pretty much smooth sailing. So I hope this step-by-step guide that follows the Richard Binder recommended method for Patriot repair serves you well.

Things you'll need:

1. The disassembly
-Heat Source (Used the trusty Hair Dryer)
-Gripping material (non-slip drawer mats or section pliers, or cut inner tube, etc...)
-Possibly an XACTO knife
-Knock out block/hammer/dowel

2. Repair
-Indypendance Patriot repair kit - container the necessary 3 O-rings, polyvinyl sleeve, and replacement chamber (if needed)
-Acetone for fusing plastic, or superglue/adhesive of choice in-lieu of the acetone (or MEK)
-XACTO Knife/blade to trim polystyrene sleeve (or possibly cork if you go that route)
-Shellac for the seal

Possible extras:
Tooth pick/dental pick
Sandpaper/file
Cork
Superglue/rubber cement
*Let me know if I missed anything
