Alex Rodrigues goes 3 for 5 with 7 RBIs w/2 HRs including a Grand Slam in the 3rd inning off Mets rookie starter Alay Soler who only appeared in 8 MLB games all as a starter for the Mets, as the Yankees take the lead for good scoring 8 runs in the 3rd as the game becomes a blow-out win for the Yankees and making the Subway Series a 3-3 tie for '06.
Jaret Wright gets the start for the Yankees and replaced by Ron Vallone in the 3rd inning. Mets CF Carlos Beltran hits a pair of HRs himself but in the losing effort blowout as the Yankee take the final game of the series win 16-7 Vallone get the win (3-1) and the rookie right hander Soler with the loss (2-3)
