Namaste, Beautiful! Welcome to this intermediate level multi-style practice for increasing flexibility. Be prepared to go deep into the hips, hamstrings, and back. This is an hour 40 minute practice that works up to Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel), Hanumanasana (Right and Left Split), Surya Yantrasana (Compass), Eka Pada Sirsasana (Foot Behind The Head), and Samakonasana (Middle Split). While the peak poses are quite advanced, we do take awhile to get there, making the class suitable for a wider range of mobility levels.

Personally, my body has been quite flexible for my whole life, and one of my main goals is to be as flexible in my life as I am in my body. And, of course, one of the things we use our asana practices for is to get into our bodies in a way that translates to life. So often when I feel I am being too rigid in life, I set the intention in a practice where I go deep into my body, to set me free from that rigidity. That is what I hope to pass on to you today.

To accomplish this, we will combine Hatha Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) Chandra Namaskar (Moon Salutation), parts of the Ashtanga standing sequence (with some changes), dynamic Vinyasa Style flows, and some deeper stretching in our peak poses, before rewarding ourselves with Shavasana.

Some of the other fun asanas we'll move through include: Trikonasana (Triangle), Parivrtta Trikonasana (Revolved Triangle) Utthita Parsvakonasana (Extended Side Angle), Parivrtta Parsvakonasana (Revolved Side Angle), Urdhva Prasarita Eka Padasana (Standing Split), Camatkarasana (Wild Thing), and Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (King Pigeon)
