Should you dye rolags? I did want to title this "Can You Dye Rolags?" but I already know the answer is yes. So I changed my question. I had a bag of approximately 100g of fleece that I've scoured and carded into rolags. I decided this was a good time to experiment! I treated the rolags exactly the same way I treat unspun fibre, and that seemed to do the trick!

Fibre reactive dyes can be used on plant based fibre and animal based fibres. Acid dyes can only be used on animal based fibres.

Contents:
[00:00] Introduction and pre soak
[02:27] Adding the dyes nebula navy, frozen, silver grey, lavender and purple
[04:57] Adding the acid and working everything through the fibre
[06:32] Heat setting the fleece for 10 minutes
[07:25] Adding a sock blank 40 minutes later
[09:34] Another 40 minutes later
[10:03] Washing the rolags and sock blank
[12:12] The finished rolags and sock blank

Dye: Frozen and silver grey acid dyes from Dharma, nebula navy and lavender fibre reactive eyes from Dharma and purple acid dye from DT Craft and Design
