The concepts introduces appliy to any technology traditionally considered "supra-threshold" including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and technology known to be sub-threshold such a transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (tDCS).
