Nissan Xterra/Frontier All-In-One Key Fob Combo

Описание к видео Nissan Xterra/Frontier All-In-One Key Fob Combo

How I replaced my separate key and fob with a single, all-in-one unit for my Nissan Xterra. Includes programming the new fob and moving the immobilizer chip over to the new one. *WARNING* do this at your own risk. Cutting into a key is permanent, and cutting anything carries risk of injury.

Here is the key I used (not an affiliate link): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B...

Key spots:
00:00 - Intro
01:24 - Identifying which side of the key has the chip
02:33 - Where to cut to find the edge of the metal key
03:34 - What the metal key interior looks like
04:43 - Side of the chip exposed
06:05 - Chip fully exposed and removable
07:05 - Installation of immobilizer chip
08:04 - Where to get the key blank cut
09:02 - Programming the fob lock/unlock buttons
09:55 - Testing the key successfully!

The immobilizer is located on the side of the key without the dimple on the bottom. A sharper blade will make this go faster and it doesn't require heat. First cut the top side of the key to find where the metal part of the key ends. That edge roughly aligns with the chip. Once you find that edge, "shave" down on the cover until you expose the chip. When you can see the end of the chip, you can cut along the bottom to fully expose the edges to pop it out and place in the new one.
