マスターシステム版の獣王記。

ゴールデンアックスは4Mbitでしたが、この獣王記は2Mbitで移植されています。

熊のステージが丸ごと削除されていますが、キャラクターボイスも収録されていたり、なかなかの完成度です。

ザコキャラはスプライト欠けが多いので、マイキャラとボスキャラのみ背景(BG)で描写してるっぽいですね。

FM音源対応なのも良いですね。ボスキャラのBGMはステージ2と3のBGMとして使われています。

マイキャラとボスキャラの動きを処理しながらBGMを鳴らすのは厳しかったのかもですね。
キャラクターボイスも映像を停止させないと鳴らせないみたいですね。

8ドット、16ドット単位で動くマイキャラと、もっさりな操作性ですが、大きなキャラクターと描き込まれたグラフィック、FM音源、キャラクターボイス等々、低容量、低スペックでも諦めない好印象な移植でした。

Master System version of Altered Beast.

Golden Ax was 4Mbit, but this Altered Beast was ported to 2Mbit.

The entire bear stage has been deleted, but character voices are also included,
It's quite complete.

Small characters often have missing sprites, so it seems like only my characters and boss characters are depicted in the background (BG).

It's also nice that it supports FM sound sources. The boss character's BGM is used as the BGM for stages 2 and 3.

It may have been difficult to play BGM while processing the movements of my character and the boss character.
It seems like the character voices can't be heard unless the video is stopped.

My character moves in 8-dot and 16-dot units, and the operability is slow,

Detailed graphics, FM sound source, character voices, etc.
It was a good impression of a port that did not give up despite its low capacity and low specs.
