Hodgson Brothers Mountain Relay 2024 - Part 1 - Leg 1 - Angle Tarn and a bit of Leg 2

Hodgson Brothers Mountain Relay is a classic fell running event which starts and finishes in Patterdale, in the English Lake District. The relay consists of 4 legs. Runners of each leg have to run in pairs for safety reasons. They must all carry the full FRA kit. The race is organised by the Hodgson family who raise money for the local community.
The overall distance of all the 4 legs is approximately 23 miles with 8400 ft elevation.

Leg 1 - Patterdale to Hartsop, AS category, 4.2 miles, 1320 ft elevation. Goes up Angle Tarn.

Leg 2 - Hartsop to Kirkstone Pass Inn, AM category, approx 7 miles, 2670 ft elevation. Ascends to The Knott, High Street, Cauldale Moor, Raven's Crag

Leg 3 - Kirkstone Pass Inn to Sykeside campsite, AS category, 5 miles, 1710 ft elevation. Goes up Red Screes Tarn and Dove Crag.
