When calling the police on your friends backfires

Описание к видео When calling the police on your friends backfires

On December 31, 2023, an officer in Florida responds to a call about a female who claims she is kidnapped in the back seat of a car. The officer spots a vehicle that matches the description and signals the car to pull over. The officer notices an intoxicated passenger in the back seat. The driver and other passenger explain that they are actually driving the other female home so it would not make any sense that they are kidnapping her. They explain that she is very intoxicated and has been causing issues throughout the evening. The driver is distraught and requests that she not have to continue to drive the intoxicated passenger home.

The officer confronts the intoxicated passenger and she insists that she would like the driver and other passenger arrested. The officer asks what they should be arrested for. She tells him for harassing. He explains that in and of itself isn't a crime that he could arrest for. She explains that even though she is drunk, they are drunk too.

The officers do not see any preliminary signs of impairment on the driver or other passenger. After listening to the intoxicated passenger's story several times, the officers decide to allow the driver and other passenger to leave.

The officers detain the intoxicated passenger for disorderly intoxicated. She struggles and resists arrest throughout. The officers find marijuana in her purse after a search.

She is charged with:
1. Disorderly Intoxication
2. Resisting/obstructing Officer w/out Violence
3. Marijuana Possession

The case is still pending. A pre-trial is scheduled for 4/22/2024
