Abstract Art Painting Demo In Oil Paint With Masking Tape / Work #7 Amalthea

This work called Amalthea starts out with a simple application of acrylic paint. I then apply subsequent layers using thinner, translucent mixes of oil paint mixed with Winsor & Newton Liquin medium. Each layer is masked with tape to create random geometric shapes, this influences the paintings balance and final outcome.

Another video showing how easy it is to get started with oils and acrylics - creating cool works with the most basic materials and techniques. Have a go yourself and see what you can come up with.
