Step By Step Tennis Elbow Taping Instructions:
1. Make sure the skin is clean.
2. Cut one 4-5 inch (10-12.5 cm) decompression strip and one 12-14 inch (30-35 cm) support strip.
3. Round the corners of the tape to better durability.
4. Have the patient make a fist and flex the wrist .
5. Apply the 4-5 inch (10-12.5 cm) decompression strip at approximately 75% tension at the extensor tendons where there's the most pain with 0% tension on the ends.
6. Apply the 12-14 inch (30-35 cm) support strip from the hand, along the extensor muscles, over the decompression strip, to the outside upper part of the elbow with 40% tension. The ends should be applied with 0% tension.
7. Rub the tape to activate the adhesive.
