Ingredients:
Prawns - 1/2 kg (15 - 20) cleaned, deshelled, deveined
Tomato -1 big (chopped)
Onion -1 big (chopped)
Byadagi chilli - 7-8
Ghati or Pandi chilli - 2
Kashmiri dry chilli - 1
Garlic cloves - 10-12
Green chilli - 1 (small)
Cinnamon - 1-2 inches
Cloves - 2-3
Black peppercorns - 10-12
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Oil - 1 cup
Vinegar - 3/4 cup
Salt to taste

Method:
1. Marinate the prawns in salt, turmeric and chilli powder and keep aside.
2. Blend the rest of the ingredients except oil, salt and sugar in a blender into a fine paste using the vinegar.
3. Heat the oil in a wok and fry the prawns till perfectly cooked and remove on a plate.
4. In the same oil, add the masala paste and fry it till the raw smell of the onion and garlic vanishes and it starts releasing oil on the sides. It will take around 7-8 mins.
5. Once the paste starts releasing the oil, add fried prawns, sugar and salt to it. Mix well, let simmer for a few mins and it's ready to serve.

Best had with bread, but also goes well with rice.
