Royal Coach Impact Sprinkler FAILURE, with bonus SU63-D

Описание к видео Royal Coach Impact Sprinkler FAILURE, with bonus SU63-D

It is a Royal Coach, model 10001. I expected Royal Coach results and I was surprised by the lack of performance. I even took the time to loosen the spring a little, but now I would go at the spring adjustment a little more aggressively. This is an old school design with a spoon arm. The bearing and nipple are pretty much normal, but the washer is a fibrous washer, tire like, compared to the smooth washers used today. There is no bearing spring, because of the older style washer did not need it. This particular model appears to more worn out than I expected. I swapped the bearing assembly with the SU63-D and I figured it might make a difference and it did, but it was minimal. It managed to complete the cycle from left to right and back again, but it was really, really slow. For me this was a total failure. When I removed the bearing assembly, I noticed a stream restrictor at the back end of the nozzle. I did not remove it, but I will. The big bonus though is retesting the SU63-D without the bearing spring and used the bearing assembly from the Royal Coach. WOW, an amazing difference as this sprinkler performed even better than before, and a little like the full size U61 design.
