Canon FD 500mm F4.5 L with Techart Pro LM-EA7

This video is showing an old Canon FD 500mm lens. A vintage lens from 1981-1992 period. Using Techart Pro LM-EA7 adapter with Sony a7R II for nature photography samples.

This is the 1st gen of auto focus adapter for manual focus lens. Since the adapter focusing rail is only 4.5mm is not enough for a tele lens extension distance. For Tamron 500mm, I need to pre hand focus using the tele lens’s own focus ring, then half press the shutter to obtain the final focus. The hit rate is about 10-30%, depend on the movement speed of the subject.
