Who Can Help With A fish ID ? Was In The Same Tank As Firemouth At My Lfs. Only 2 Types Of Fish Were Suppost To Be In The Tank And That Was Firemouth And Flowerhorn ?

Cichlid question: I have a 5 in firemouth in with a 6 in severum. They have been together since they were both Juveniles. Now the firemouth seems to be picking on the severum, can I move the firemouth to my other tank? The other one only has a 5-6 in Oscar.

This one is for anyome with experience/knowledge on the south and central American cichlids. 2 questions 1. What cichlids can hybridize? Mainly are sevrums and firemouth compatible? My male firemouth seemed to be showing off for my sevrum(not sure gender) just wondering if that's something I need to prepare for. And 2 anyone have periods where your cichlids are scared of you? The sevrum and firemouth aren't scared at all, but my angel pair and blood parrot are more skittish around me (in a different tank from the others) they are the biggest in the tank and when I'm not in the room I can see them front and center but if I walk in the run to the back, the angels more so than the parrot. Any ideas?

I can speak to the Angels. Some can be afraid. I have many angels that are out all the time and no fears. I also have angels that anytime new people come around they hide behind the driftwood or slate rocks. If you get them to be very familiar and associate you to food they should relax.

I've had them for a couple months now, they did have a tank move but that was like 2 months ago, it seems the only time they aren't scared is when they have eggs laid. It's just strange seeing angels that in the old tank would attack ghost shrimp and eat out of my hand hide now.

I hope so. They don't have stress coloration, stripes are always full intensity, so they seem to be doing alright. Also thanks for the advice!

Parrots can DEFINITELY be skittish/easily startled but usually they come back out pretty quick. So, we need to add another female molly to our community tank. We currently have dalmatian mollies. Do we need to add another Dalmatian to give the male another female to chase after or do they breed with other types of mollies? I am getting conflicting answers online. Thanks!

Anyone know what this white stuff is hanging out of my baby fish? (Looks like it is pooping) This is the 4th one (all the rest died). It is the one at the very bottom with all the black. I should say I feed flakes and recently started blood worms (dried) for my loach.

How bad is the white spots on my guy? All he does now is let the water drift him, peal and breath. I've been changing his water, adding anti itch, kept the temperature on 30 and adding a tablespoon of rock salt in his tank for the last three days, anything else should i do? Please help.

My friends say i shouldnt feed him at this state, what do you guys think?
