VIDEO CONTENTS:
[0:00] Introduction
[2:08] The yarn bases
[3:13] Making yarn chains
presoak in plain tap water overnight. An hour might be enough time
[6:07] The dyes
Sea Spray, Royal Purple, and Berry Crush
Measured out 1 gram of each color a couple of times (this way I know exactly how much dye I'm adding each time.
[6:57] The dyebath
24-32 cups water + 8 T white vinegar
(second pot off camera - 24 cups water + 6 T vinegar)
[7:23] Dip dyeing in Purple
add 1 g purple dye for the middle of the chains
hold both ends of the chain in one hand, to dip the middle section
Final recipe tweek - start with 0.6 grams of dye
[15:02] Yarn mop
[17:18] Dip Dyeing into Sea Spray
note this is the older batch of sea spray dye
Dip one end in the 1 g of dye in the smaller dyebath
[22:53] Dip Dyeing into Berry Crush
I ended up using ~0.5 g of pink for each set of 300 g (1 g was used over two skeins)
