There is lot of confusion about how much water to take if you have CKD. To cut the long story short, you can take “ thirst guided water intake” unless you have been told by your nephrologist to take more or less than 1.5-2 liter. If you have any stage of CKD and good urine out put you don’t have to limit fluid intake. Only if you have decreased urine out put or you are on hemodialysis or have low sodium than your watt intake should be decreased.
Conclusion: Drink if feel thirsty. Drink minimum of around 1.5 liters or 6-8 glasses of 💧 unless advised by your nephrologist otherwise.
