FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA, HE CAN SET YOU FREE! - Zechariah Part 3 |

The Prophet Zechariah declared that when the Messiah comes "His rule shall be from sea to sea,
and from the River to the ends of the earth." (Zech. 9:10).
Even though the Jews had been granted permission to return to their ancestral homeland after their exile to Babylon/Persia, they still regarded themselves as being in captivity because they would still be ruled by a foreign power.
It was in this period that a large body of the Bible’s canonical literature was produced in various genres including the prophetic Books of - Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. Each of these works lays the foundation for the anticipation of the coming Messiah and the establishment of the New Covenant with Yahweh and the redeemed.
